Ouch.

todays game was so horrid, it doesnt deserve a detailed recap. all i'm gonna say is David Clarkson scored his first NHL goal from Zach Parise and Andy Greene 10:42 into the 2nd. Travis Zajac scored his 15th of the season 13:23 into the 3rd from David Clarkson and Brian Rafalski.

Marty Brodeur was pulled in the second after allowing * goals, and Scott Clemmensen was in the net the rest of the game, allowing * goals. we lost, but they had 10 more shots then us. if we had had those shots, we would be the ones with the win right now.

Patrik Elias and Johnny Madden both missed the game today again, and Brian Gionta, again, will still be out for (at least) the next 6 games.

some good news? Richark Matvichuk will most likely be playing in the playoffs, after missing the entire season so far due to off-season back surgery.

so congrats to Clarkson on his (Gordie Howe hat trick?) (not sure if they count it as one, since he was called for roughing, not fighting) goal and assist. hopefully both him and Rod Pelley will make it onto the Devils roster next season.

and let's hope we can win the next 11 games.

Shootouts: Not Lowell's Strong Point

Lowell lost. actually, i take that back. we didnt lose. we just didnt win. 3-4 in a SO. we got a point, so technically, it wasnt a loss.

Mike Pandolfo (not Mark), Ryan Murphy, and Chris Minard scored, but we couldnt hold onto the lead, even tho we had it 3 times and Minard has a stick stuck in his pants.

At the end of the first, we lead 2-1 with Pandolfo's (3rd g, assist from Mike Mottau) and Murphy's (16th g, Minard, Pihlman). we only scored once in the 2nd, Minard's goal (25th from Harant and Mottau), and once in the SO (Murphy).

Doyle had 36 saves, other goalie had 27 saves.

3 Stars:
#3- Mike Mottau
#2- Hartigan (Prtlnd)
#1- Chris Minard

*Notes:
Rod Pelley and David Clarkson both missed the game cuz they're still with the big guys.
Devils have gone 7 games without losing in reg.
Chris Minard leads the team in both goals (25) and points (39), while Dan McGillis leads with 25 assists.

We Win, Canes Lose, We Win, Canes Lose...

after being shut out last night (i'm trying to forget about that), we won 3-2.

Patrik Elias and Johnny Madden wanted to be like Brian Gionta, so they were out tonight with groin injuries too. Gio was placed on IR and two of my favorite Lowellers, DAVID CLARKSON and ROD PELLEY, were called up. neither had a point, but they both did awesomely, Clarkson with quite a few shots and several hits, and Pelley also with a few shots and nearly all of his face offs won. Clarkson was on the 2nd line with Zach Parise and Travis Zajac in place of Jamie Langenbrunner, who was playing on the first line with Gomez and Rasumssen. Pelley was on the 3rd line in place of Madden.

:39 into the first, Gomez decided to be useful and scored the 1st goal, but the canes tied it up soon after. no scoring in the 2nd, but the third saw a goal from the canes and also goals form both Erik Rasmussen and ZACH PARISE. so we won.

Assists:
Langenbrunner, Rasmussen (Gomez)
Gomez, Langenbrunner (Rasmussen)
Zajac (Parise)

3 Stars:
#3-Tanabe (Canes)
#2- Gomez
#1- Martin Brodeur

**Brian Gionta was placed on IR, counting the games since Mar. 6. he'll play a max. of 5 games before the playoffs. Elias and Madden should be back after a game or two each.

Devils can't take after Lowell..

Elias and Madden were both (injured?) during the game, so now we have even less players the before (duh) and the Devils decided they just didn't feel like scoring, so cindy crackhead and the penguimps shut us out 3-0.

i shouldnt say they shut us out. Travis Zajac scored, but it was the wrong net, which, if you ask me, shouldn't count. i know, when it happened with the rags, i wasn't saying that, but still. the pinguimps are supposedly amazing, why can't they score their own freaking goals? and they were playing dirty all night. again, if we had won, i probably wouldn't be saying that, but it's true. how many times did they trip us and crap like that? plus, not only was their goalie bigger then the net, he freaking covered every shot. that can't be fair. of course we're not gonna score if there's no space in the net and no rebounds. gosh darn nanner pads imposter.

and before i finish this and go vent to my cats, i'd like to point out that the goal of the game was of course Zajac's goal. which leads me to another point. if you can score on your own team, at least let it count towards you. what's his name did crap and he's getting credit for what Zajac did.

and if you ask me, whoever shot crackhead in the face with the puck (i cant remember who it was right now) deserves to be the 1st star of the game. and of course Zajac and Brodeur should be up there too for Zajac's amazing 'goal of the game' and Marty's 3 goals against.

Lowell wins 2nd in a row

So Lowell wanted to win tonight. and they love me so they did. The amazing Jordan Parise had 23 saves, and Grand Marshall, Ryan Murphy, and the also amazing (and pretty darn hott) Petr Vrana scored, leading the Devils to a 3-1 victory.

no scoring for the little Devils in the first, so it ended 1-0 Springfield. Marshall and Murphy both scored in the third, and Vrana scored in the 3rd. no PPGs for either team, with 4 PPs for the Devs and 1 for the falcons (of course, it was David Clarkson in the box. i'm starting to think he likes it in tere :=-P).

Assists:
Fraser and Harant on Marshall's goal.
Pihlman on Murphy's goal.
Murphy and (Stephen) Gionta on Vrana's.

3 Stars:
#3- Petr Vrana
#2- Grant Marshall
#1- Ryan Murphy

(now hopefully the big boys can come back from behind like Lowell did and win it.)

Our defense has returned.

kind of. Colin White is expected to play tonight after missing 2 games with a hand injury and Alex Brooks was assigned to Lowell on Saturday (i for some reason just found out about that) after fracturing his foot on jan 13(?) against the islanders. hopefully, we'll get him back soon. Gionta won't be playing tonight, or tomorrow, unfortunately. but again, hopefully his groin will be all better by next week.

i've noticed that every time i do a pregame type thing, they lose, so that's not happening. read the one here if you wanna read one.

and to those of you who didn't know (i thought it was like this all along, but i'm never right so...), David Hale was in fact traded to make room for Andy Greene under the cap. but who knows how long he'll be there, if Richard Matvichuk is able to be my hero and come back soon.

peace out till tonight. and just for the record, i'll do a recap of Lowell's game along with the Devils' game (probably below it).

3/11- 5-2, Lowell

so incase you didnt realize it yet, i keep up with the Lowell Devils (AHL) too.

anyway, Lowell won. yayy. they idnt win yesterday, cuz hartford's mean and bitter and they're jealous of Jordan Parise's awesomeness.

so we took the lead at 4:07 into the second with a PPG goal from Dan LaCouture (assists from Dan McGillis and Mike Mottau), but providence decided they didnt feel like being behind, so they tied it with a SHG @ 7:48. Devils scored again in the second (12:57 in), also a SHG, from Tuomas Pihlman, with LaCouture and Mottau picking up the assists.

LaCouture score again 2:24 into the 3rd, with Nicklas Bergfors getting the only assist, making it 3-1 Lowell, for those of you who suck at math like i do. at 8:10, Olivier Magnan scored his first AHL goal from Chris Minard. 2 minutes and 40 seconds later, providence scored again, making it 4-2. in the end, the bruins made the common mistake of pulling their goalie, and David Clarkson scored the empty netter at 19:40 form LaCouture, sealing the win.

Frank Doyle stopped 34/36 shots, while toivonen stopped 25/29.

3 stars (from the AHL site. i would have picked em differently):
#3- Ben Walter (prov)
#2- Frank Doyle
#1- Dan LaCouture
